Mrs. Thomas
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! My name is Mrs. Thomas. I am so honored to be teaching at University Academy Charter High School as the English Language Arts Special Education teacher. I provide In-Class Support to ELA/History classrooms and teach within the ELA POR classrooms. I formerly worked within the mental/behavioral health field, later changing my career interest to General/Special Education. I can proudly say that within my years of teaching, I have taught ELA to nearly all grade levels within secondary education providing added support, which has truly been rewarding and beneficial as an educator. Work/assignments can be found within your child's Google Classroom which is the primary platform utilized. I aim to ensure that your child has a positive and engaging learning experience within the classroom, in addition to building their confidence for optimal success academically.
Parent-teacher communication is encouraged and is of importance for greater success in the classroom. I may be reached at [email protected] between 8am-3pm Mon-Fri.
Your child was provided with a course syllabus for their class.
