UACHS Music -Mr. Rizzolo

Hi! I am Mr. Rizzolo and I am the Music Teacher at University Academy Charter High School. I am very excited for a great school year at UACHS this year!

I have been a musician for over 21 years of my life and have performed, recorded, released and taught music for many years. My primary instrument is the Drum Set but I also hold a BM in Percussion Performance from NJCU (2012). I love and appreciate all music genres and value the importance of musical expression. I truly believe music can change lives and the world in positive ways! I am looking forward to guiding all music students to gain a larger appreciation for all music, learning the skills and abilities necessary to perform and create music and growing as musicians, vocalists and artists so that they may share their music with the world!

This year students in Instrumental Music will be learning to perform music on percussion and keyboard instruments. Students in Choir will learn to improve their vocal technique and perform music as and ensemble. Music Appreciation students will study different genres of music and their roots and learn to produce music using the online Digital Audio Work Station (DAW) Soundtrap. I look forward to a great school year this year with all music students at UACHS!

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school! We have a lot of exiting music this year at UACHS. Instrumental and Choir classes and the School Rock Band will be performing this year in the Winter, Black History Month and Spring Concerts (Dates and ties TBA). This past summers summer Rock Band intensive was a great success culminating in a performance by students at The Miller Branch Library on August 25th. Thank you to all who came out and supported!
