Welcome to Ms. Villa’s Class

My name is J. Villa and I have been an educator for several years. This is my second year as an English Teacher at UACHS. In my class students will not only learn about literature, but how to apply what they have learned to real-life scenarios in order to be better prepared not just in the classroom, but beyond.

Teaching is fundamentally about empowering learners to develop their potential, acquire knowledge, and cultivate critical thinking skills. It should enable students to reflect on their decisions, contribute to society, and lead content lives. 

2023-2024 

English 2/Honors: Students will engage in a journey through the world of literature and writing. Reading multiple novels, short stories, articles, etc and class discussions will deepen students' appreciation for the work of storytelling. 

Professional Writing and Presentation: Students will distinguish formal and informal writing and language in order to accordingly address real life situations. Students will practice writing cover letters, resumes, interest letters, etc in which students will gain a better understanding of professional writing. 

All assignments will either be posted in google classroom or a physical copy of the activity will be provided.
