I am a firm believer that just as it requires a village to raise a child, it similarly requires a village to educate a child. Therefore, it is my intention to communicate with all parents with regularity, informing you both of your child's behaviors that I deem problematic and disruptive and those that I deem laudable and deserving of praise. Hopefully, our communications are more frequently regarding the latter than the former.
Furthermore, any time you have a question regarding ANYTHING about your child's progress in my class, please do not hesitate to reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org. All emails will be addressed within one day and often much sooner. I view the parent-teacher relationship as two equal parties striving to meet the identical goal: the preparation of young men and women for success in their chosen endeavors.
I cannot stress enough that parents have every right to be kept in the loop regarding their children's education. No communication is ever viewed as excessive, burdensome, or undesirable. We are partners that can exponentially increase the probability of reaching our shared goal by developing a mutualistic relationship and working together.
I both need and desire your cooperation as much, if not more, than you require mine.
I look forward to working with all of you in pursuit of our common goal.
