Welcome! I am Coach Papcun, and this is my inaugural year at University Academy Charter High School (UACHS). I currently teach Physical Education, Health, and Special Education, and this marks my second year overall with UA. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Health from Montclair State University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the American College of Education.
Before joining UACHS, I spent 14 years serving as the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation for Manalapan Township in Monmouth County, NJ. During that time, I also had the opportunity to coach varsity Football, Track, Baseball, and Basketball, fueling my passion for youth development and athletics.
In addition to my work in education and recreation, I currently run my own company, Jersey Coastal Academy, which focuses on bringing the FUNdamentals back to sports and recreation through inclusive, engaging, and skill-based programming.
I am truly excited to work with the students and student-athletes at UACHS and look forward to helping them grow into well-rounded individuals prepared for success both on and off the field.
