Resources
Students experiencing housing instability may be entitled to important educational protections and services under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. This may include students and families who are temporarily staying with others, living in a shelter or motel, or otherwise lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.
Use the flowchart below to learn more about eligibility and the enrollment process.
Eligible students may have the right to immediate school enrollment and access to additional school supports, even when certain documents are not immediately available.
For questions or assistance, please contact the school’s McKinney-Vento liaison.

If you or someone you know may need assistance, we encourage you to reach out. Our School District Homeless Liaison is Mrs. Tammy Llambelis. Mrs. Llambelis can assist with school enrollment, transportation, access to educational services, and connecting families with community resources. You may reach her via email at [email protected] or at her direct extension, 201-200-3563.
Our goal is to ensure that every student has access to the support they need to succeed.
