Chemistry Course Description:
Chemistry is the study of the structure and composition of matter that makes up living things and their environment. Chemistry also deals with the study of the changes of matter and the mechanisms by which changes occur. This course includes lectures, daily assignments and lab activities. Lab reports must be submitted, organizing data and answering questions for the experiment. This class cover topics such as Matter, Atomic Structure, Periodic Table, Chemical Bonds, Chemical Reactions, Solutions, and Nuclear Chemistry.

Unit 2: Chemical Bonding and Chemical Reactions
Unit 3: Mole Concept and Thermochemistry
Unit 4: States of Matter and Solutions
Unit 5: Reaction Kinetics, Chemical Equilibrium, Acids & Bases,
and Nuclear Chemistry
Grading Policy: Each quarter will be graded as follows:
30% Class Participation, 25% Tests, 20% Labs/Projects, 15% Quizzzes, and 10% Homework.
