Welcome back Sophomores to UACHS! It must be a nice feeling to not be the deer in the headlights! Anyway we will be doing a lot of reading this year, as well as building on the writing skills you learned last year. Our first reading will be The Other Wes Moore, a memoir that directly concerns urban life. Our Shakespeare reading this year will be Othello, in which we will explore the issues of racism and jealousy. We will also read The Great Gatsby, possibly the best novel of the 20th century, and The Crucible, a play about the Salem Witch Trials that can be compared to life under our current administration.
