Welcome Freshmen to UACHS! This year we will be focusing on close reading texts, as well as learning the basics of writing scholarly essays. Our first novel will be The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, a funny but poignant novel about Junior, who is going to a new school (just like you guys!) We will also read Romeo and Juliet, and How it Went Down, a book very relevant to urban life.
